HOW IDW IS FUNDED

IDW is funded entirely by donations from Friends of IDW, Dolphin Adoption, by sale of goods from the IDW Mail Order Shop and the rare bequest. Without these sources of income to cover expenses IDW could not exist. IDW runs on a miniscule budget.
Please help IDW to continue to save dolphins and help humans by supporting us in any way you can. Thank you.

HOW IDW STARTED

International Dolphin Watch was, after many extraordinary encounters with a friendly wild  dolphin named Donald off the British Coast, established in 1978 by Honorary Director, Dr. Horace Dobbs, a diver and medical research scientist.
Discovering that dolphins could bring joy into human lives, Horace gave up orthodox medical research to explore the unique relationship between humans and dolphins. At the same time, Dr. Dobbs became very concerned about what was happening to dolphin populations that were being decimated by tuna fishing and other threats such as chemical pollution. He continues to campaign vigourously around the world to save dolphins. Horace has written a series of books and has made a string of films for television.
